In this article you will find an overview of which details of your tour data can be processed by us.
Required data
In order to optimize your tour, the following information is required:
- ZIP CODE
- City
- Street
- House number
Example:
ZIP CODE | City | Street | House number |
30890 | Barsinghausen | Market Street | 11 |
30149 | Hanover | Hollerithallee | 17 |
All of the following can improve your route optimization results, but are optional:
Time window
In addition to your address data, you can assign an individual time slot to each of your stops or assign it to a specific vehicle (driver). This way you can keep the stored appointments and appointment times at your stop.
When entering the time windows it is important to specify them in a certain format, in the table below you can see two examples:
- Time window (from)
- Time window (to)
Time window(from) |
Time window (to) |
08:15 | 17:15 |
Service time
We refer to service time as the time your driver spends on all administrative activities at a stop. This includes for example:
- Maneuvering the vehicle
- Proper parking of the vehicle
- Written documentation
Service time does not depend on the number of packages or parcels.
Service time |
00:01:00 (1 minute) |
00:02:30 (2,5 minutes) |
Duration
Duration is the time your driver needs to deliver a package or parcel. The duration includes only the delivery itself, everything else is assigned to the service time.
Thus, the duration depends on the number of packages or parcels.
The total delivery time at a stop is calculated accordingly as follows:
Total delivery time = service time + duration * packages.
How can I assign "Service time" and "Duration?
The information"Service time" and "Duration" can be found within the data import respectively under the menu items Delivery and Pickup.
The time information is in the format hh:mm:ss.
Bind stop to vehicle
You also have the option to assign a stop to a vehicle (driver) of your choice. This is always useful if you want to plan multiple tours with NUNAV Courier. In this example we use as vehicle number 1 and 2:
- Vehicle number
ZIP CODE | City | Street | House number | Vehicle number |
30890 | Barsinghausen | Market street | 11 | 1 |
30149 | Hanover | Hollerithallee | 17 | 2 |
30149 | Hanover | Ziegeleiweg | 13 | 2 |
20095 | Hamburg | Jungfernstieg | 2 | 1 |
10115 | Berlin | Dirksenstrasse | 23 | 1 |
Hint:
To be able to assign the stops to a vehicle without using the planning wizard, you have two options. You can use "drag & drop" or already specify the vehicle number (usually the 1) in the Excel file.
Personal information
Of course it is also possible to add the following personal information to your stops:
If you would like to include the barcode to your package, we offer you the possibility to do so. Optionally, it is possible to save additional information about the stop (e.g. the place of deposit), which will be visible to the driver during delivery. In addition, we offer you the possibility to enter information about the recipient.
- Barcode
- Receiver
Barcode |

After you have successfully saved your tour data to an Excel file, you can convert it to a CSV file. To do so, please read the related article.
