Do you want to know how to set conditions in NUNAV Courier? Then you are in the right place.
Short definition:
With conditions, you can set certain rules that are considered during route optimization. For example, conditions can define that a customer wants to receive their goods only chilled and therefore can only be delivered with a refrigerated vehicle.
Or imagine that your customer's entrance can only be reached through an archway, limiting the maximum vehicle height to 2.70 m.
Other examples could be:
- Driver Klaus is the regular driver for a certain pharmacy. The owner of the pharmacy therefore prefers to be delivered by driver Klaus.
- Driver Valentin has particularly good knowledge in a postal code area. Therefore, deliveries in this postal code area should preferably be carried out by Valentin.
- ...
Now comes the moment when you can make your route optimization even more efficient. By passing your individual local knowledge as parameters to the route optimization.
To illustrate this, we would like to show you how to use this feature with 2 examples:
Example 1 - Refrigerated Vehicle
1. First, determine the attributes that apply to your vehicles, drivers, customers, or orders. In this example, select the "Attributes" column for any vehicle in the vehicle view .
2. Then click on "Edit available values".
3. Since it is a "Yes or No value", please click on Text. Then enter "Refrigerated Vehicle" and click Save.
4. Next, it is important to assign a value to the "Refrigerated Vehicle" attribute. To do this, click in the text box and search for "Refrigerated Vehicle". After the first letter, the corresponding attribute will be suggested to you.
5. In this simple example, we define that this attribute just needs to exist and therefore select "exists".
6. The attribute will then be highlighted in green. Then please click on "Save".
7. To specify that a particular customer can only be delivered by a refrigerated vehicle, please switch to the customer view and scroll to the right.
8. Now please open the "Conditions" column, activate the "Vehicles" tab, and search again for "Refrigerated Vehicle".
9. After entering the first letter, "Refrigerated Vehicle" will be suggested to you. To match the condition with the attribute, please select "Exists" here and then click on "Save".
10. Congratulations. The setup is complete. Alternatively, it is of course also possible to activate this condition for multiple customers. To do this, simply copy the setting to the desired customers as usual.
Example 2 - Vehicle Height
1. First, determine the attributes that apply to your vehicles, drivers, customers, or orders. In this example, select the "Attributes" column for any vehicle in the vehicle view .
2. Then click on "Edit available values".
3. Since it is a numerical value, please click on Number. Then enter "Vehicle Height" and click Save.
4. Next, it is important to assign a value to the "Vehicle Height" attribute. To do this, click in the text box and search for "Vehicle Height". After the first letter, the corresponding attribute will be suggested to you.
5. In this simple example, we define that the "Vehicle Height" is 280cm. So we assign the "Vehicle Height" with "=" 280.
6. The attribute will then be highlighted in green. Then please click on "Save".
7. To specify that a particular customer can only be delivered by a refrigerated vehicle, please switch to the customer view and scroll to the right.
8. Now please open the "Conditions" column, activate the "Vehicles" tab, and search again for "Vehicle Height".
9. After entering the first letter, "Vehicle Height" will be suggested to you. To define that customers can only be approached with a vehicle smaller than 270cm in height, select the operator "<" (less than) and then write 270. Then confirm your selection with the Enter key and click Save.
10. Congratulations. The setup is complete. Alternatively, it is of course also possible to activate this condition for multiple customers. To do this, simply copy the setting to the desired customers as usual.
