Meaning of These Values:

• Height: Avoiding routes with low clearances, such as tunnels or bridges.
• Width: Ensuring the vehicle does not travel on roads that are too narrow.
• Length: Considering turning radii and maneuvers on the route.
• Weight: Avoiding roads or bridges with weight restrictions.
• Maximum Speed: Adjusting the arrival time based on the vehicle's permissible maximum speed.

Speed Limits for Buses in Germany

In addition to vehicle dimensions and weights, legal speed limits also play an important role in route planning.

Speed Limits for Buses:

• Urban Areas: 50 km/h (unless a lower limit is posted).
• Rural Areas (Country Roads): 80 km/h.
• Buses with Standing Passengers: Maximum 60 km/h on country roads.
• Highway: 80 km/h.
