Automated route creation in the NUNAV Courier app through text recognition

In this article, you will learn how to activate and use the experimental beta feature for automated text recognition (OCR) in the NUNAV Courier App. This feature allows you to photograph texts such as roll cards, delivery notes, or package labels and automatically create an optimized tour from them.

Step 1: Enable the feature Open settings menu: Open the NUNAV Courier App and tap the gear icon at the top right. Find experimental features: Scroll down to the experimental features section. Enable text recognition (OCR): Turn on the text recognition (OCR) option. Step 2: Use the feature Use camera icon: In the search view, you will find a camera icon at the top right. Take a photo: Point the camera at your document (roll card, delivery note, label). Make sure the text is sharp and easily readable. Text recognition & review: The app automatically extracts addresses and instructions. Briefly review the recognized data. Create tour: With one click, NUNAV plans the optimal route based on the scans.

Tips for best results:

• Good lighting: Ensure there is enough light so the camera can clearly capture the text.
• Clear texts: Avoid blurry images or extremely small font sizes.
• Quality control: Since this is a beta feature, always check the recognized addresses before starting.
