Can I actively avoid toll roads in NUNAV Navigation?

Yes, in NUNAV Navigation, you can avoid toll roads in your route planning.

This feature is currently only available for Android users.

For iOS, it will be added in a future update.

By default, the app considers toll roads in routing, but you can disable this option in the settings.

How to disable the use of toll roads:

1. Open settings:

   • Tap the gear icon at the top right of the app.

2. Access navigation settings:

   • Select the menu item "Navigation".

3. Enable avoid toll roads:

   • Go to "Route options".
   • Find the option "Avoid toll roads" and enable/disable it with the toggle button.

Important note:

Avoiding toll roads may result in alternative routes with longer travel times or greater distances. Please note, however, that in some countries certain alternative routes are not allowed.

• Austria (AT): Especially in the summer months, alternative routes off the highways on popular transit routes are restricted by local driving bans. This particularly affects holiday regions in Tyrol and Salzburg, where it may be prohibited to bypass highways without a valid vignette.
• Other countries: Similar regulations may apply in other European countries. Inform yourself in advance about possible traffic restrictions to avoid fines or detours.

Therefore, always check the suggested route to ensure it complies with current traffic and legal regulations.
