NUNAV is the official navigation solution for traveling to Rock im Park. The app guides you according to your ticket or camping category on the fastest route to a suitable parking spot or the correct entrance.
Traffic and parking area occupancy are continuously monitored throughout the festival weekend, ensuring you reach your destination optimally and without unnecessary waiting times.
Important: Always search for the event again
Please search for the event “Rock im Park” again in the NUNAV app before departure and start navigation via the official event entry with the Rock im Park logo.
Do not start from “Recently visited destinations”
Please do not use entries from the list of recently visited destinations.
For event destinations like Rock im Park, additional information about the selected ticket or camping category is required.
If this information is not correctly transmitted, a valid event route cannot be calculated.
Therefore, always search for the event again via the search in NUNAV and then select your ticket or camping category.

Why should I use the event in NUNAV?
The NUNAV event navigation automatically guides you to a suitable free parking spot.
The available parking areas are monitored in real-time. This allows for better distribution of visitor flows and reduction of traffic jams. Unlike traditional navigation systems, NUNAV takes into account the access routes, parking areas, and current occupancy levels designated by the organizer.
Why do my friends receive a different route?
This is completely normal.
NUNAV dynamically distributes traffic across different access routes and parking areas to avoid traffic jams and make the journey as efficient as possible for all visitors.
Therefore, different vehicles may receive different routes even if they are heading to the same destination region.
Why shouldn't I navigate directly to the event site?
We strongly advise against it.
The event navigation takes into account the access routes, parking concepts, and traffic measures designated by the organizer. Direct navigation to the Nürburgring may result in you not reaching the correct entrance.
Please use only the official Rock im Park event in NUNAV for your journey.
Why shouldn't I navigate directly to my parking spot?
Even if you already know your parking spot, we recommend always using the official Rock im Park event in NUNAV.
Direct navigation to a parking spot only considers generally known road closures and traffic rules.
The special traffic management for Rock im Park cannot be taken into account. This includes, for example:
- dynamic access regulations
- temporary closures of individual access routes
- changed traffic routes
- current occupancy levels of parking areas
- temporarily closed or already filled parking spots
- traffic-dependent adjustments of travel routes
The event navigation in NUNAV continuously considers this information and can adjust the route to the current situation at any time.
This means you will not necessarily be guided on the shortest, but on the fastest and most sensible route for the current traffic situation to your designated parking spot.
Therefore, always use the official Rock im Park event in NUNAV for your journey and not direct navigation to a single parking spot.
Can I also use Google Maps or Apple Maps?
We advise against it.
Please use only the official Rock im Park event in NUNAV for your journey.
The access routes and parking areas for Rock im Park are specifically controlled for the event. Other navigation systems do not know these regulations and may guide you through unsuitable or closed access routes.
Why am I not getting a route?
If Rock im Park is opened from the list of recently visited destinations, important information about the ticket or camping category may be missing.
In this case, a valid event route cannot be calculated.
Please search for the event again via the search in NUNAV or use the official event link and then select your category again.

iPhone: Event not found
We are currently aware of an issue on some iPhones.
If the 12-hour time format (AM/PM) is enabled on the device, it may happen that:
- the event does not appear in the search,
- QR codes do not work,
- direct event links cannot be opened.
Please switch the time format to 24 hours in this case:
- Open Settings
- Select General
- Open Date & Time
- Enable 24-Hour Time
Then restart NUNAV and search for the event again.
Always search for the event again

Park & Ride and public transportation
Form carpools whenever possible to avoid unnecessary individual trips and fuel consumption.
We also recommend using the Park & Ride facilities around Nuremberg. For further travel, you can use the public transportation of the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg (VGN).
Opening hours
The parking and camping areas open out of consideration for the residents from Thursday, 04.06.2026, around 09:00 AM.
Departure must be completed by Monday, 08.06.2026, at 10:00 AM.
Important notes
Day Tickets
With a Day Ticket, arrival is only possible by public transportation or bicycle.
No parking spaces are available for Day Ticket holders.
Campers, Trailers, and Minivans
Arrival with a camper, trailer, or minivan is only possible with the corresponding badge.
Luggage transport
Unloading luggage with the vehicle directly at the camping areas is not possible, as parking and camping areas are separate.
Drop-off and pick-up
If you are being dropped off or picked up, please use only the designated Kiss & Ride area at the bus bay of the Bertolt-Brecht-Schule.
On-site rules
Please always observe:
- the official signage
- the instructions of the security personnel
- the local traffic guidance
These always take precedence over navigation instructions.
Important: In case of doubt, always follow the signage and the instructions of the police, security personnel, and event staff on-site.
