Zooming during navigation

This article explains how to adjust the zoom settings during navigation in the NUNAV App. These settings allow you to determine how close or far the map area is displayed during navigation – perfect for keeping an optimal view of your route.

How to Find the Setting

1. Open the NUNAV App.
2. Go to Settings:
   Tap on the menu and select “Settings”.
3. Select the Navigation Area:
   Under “Navigation”, you will find the option “Zoom during Navigation”.

Zoom Settings

In the “Zoom during Navigation” option, you have three different settings available:

• Close:
  Selects a higher magnification. This provides a detailed, enlarged view of your route. Ideal if you want to focus on short sections of the route.

• Standard:
  This is the default setting. It offers a balanced view between overview and detail, allowing you to see both the immediate route and the surrounding area.

• Wide:
  This setting zooms out the map area. It provides a larger overview of your surroundings, which can be helpful in unfamiliar areas.

Note:
There is no option to completely disable zoom during navigation. You can only choose between the zoom levels mentioned above.

Tips for Optimal Use

• Adapt to the Environment:
  Select the zoom setting that best suits your current driving situation. In tight urban areas, a “Close” view can be useful, while on country roads, the “Wide” view often provides more overview.

• Personal Preference:
  Try out the different settings to find which view you prefer when navigating. Each setting has its advantages – depending on the route and personal preferences.

• Automatic Adjustment:
  Note that some versions of the NUNAV App may offer additional options where the zoom settings automatically adjust to your speed or environment. Therefore, regularly check for app updates and additional features in the settings.
