Many users ask us if it is possible to report a roadblock during navigation via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto – for example, by pressing a button on the display or using a voice command.
🔒 Why this is unfortunately (still) not possible
- The user interfaces of CarPlay and Android Auto are very strictly regulated.
- Custom buttons, input fields, or interactive maps are not allowed to avoid distractions while driving.
- Voice commands like “report blockage” are currently not integrable via NUNAV because the platforms do not allow custom commands.
💡 Our Recommendation
If you notice a blockage while driving, you can:
- Continue navigation or choose a detour yourself
- Report the blockage after the drive via our app or our support
📅 Future?
We are keeping an eye on the technical developments of Apple and Google. If the opportunity arises to offer safe and approved interactions via CarPlay or Android Auto, we will gladly consider it.
