In the NUNAV map, various traffic situations are represented with symbols. Here we briefly and clearly explain what they mean:
Road Closed
Meaning:
The road is completely closed and not passable.
Important for you:
- These closures are actively considered in routing
- NUNAV will automatically route you around this
Construction Site or Restriction
Meaning:
There is a construction site or restriction present, for example:
- Lane narrowing
- Reduced lanes
- Temporary obstructions
Important for you:
- The road is still passable
- These locations are not closed, but only displayed as a notice
Why do I see a message even though I can drive there?
This is a common impression and completely understandable:
- Not every construction site automatically means a closure
- Many messages only indicate restrictions, but not a complete blockage
So if you were able to drive without any issues, it is usually a 🔺 restriction and not a ⭕️ closure.
Note on Representation
In rare cases, it may happen that markings on the map do not exactly align with the road. This is a representation issue. The actual traffic information may still be correct.
Feedback Helps Us Improve
If you believe that a road is incorrectly displayed as closed, we would appreciate a brief feedback via the app or by email to support@graphmasters.net.
