In the Display & Map settings, you can determine how the map is displayed in NUNAV Navigation and which information is shown.
To open the settings:
Settings → Display & Map
Night Mode
With Night Mode, the map view is displayed darker. This can be more comfortable for the eyes, especially when driving in the dark.
Depending on the version, various options are available, such as:
- Automatic
- Always on
- Always off
Route Display
Here you can select how your route is displayed on the map.
Depending on the selection, for example, the current traffic situation is highlighted in color, or a uniform route color is used.
Traffic
Shows or hides the current traffic situation on the map.
If traffic information is enabled, disruptions such as slow traffic or traffic jams are displayed in color.
Reports
Displays reported events such as construction sites, road closures, or other traffic reports on the map.
This information helps to better assess the current traffic situation.
Note: The displayed reports refer to motorized road traffic. Depending on the selected vehicle type, not all reports are considered in the route calculation.
Traffic Lights
Shows known traffic lights on the map.
This setting only affects the map display and has no impact on route calculation.
3D Buildings
Buildings are displayed in three dimensions on the map view.
If your smartphone is somewhat older or if you want the map view to run more smoothly, disabling this feature can improve performance.
House Numbers
Displays house numbers at lower zoom levels on the map.
This often allows destinations to be recognized more quickly, especially in densely built areas.
Update Map Cache
This function updates cached map data.
This can be helpful if map displays are not shown correctly or recent changes are not yet visible.
During the update, the data volume may be somewhat larger depending on the extent of the changes.
This does not download offline maps. Only locally cached map data is updated.
Note
Some settings only affect the map display and have no impact on the actual navigation or the calculated route.
