In the navigation settings, you determine how NUNAV Navigation calculates your route and which information is displayed during the drive.
To open the settings:
Settings → Navigation
Vehicle Type
Select the type of vehicle you are traveling with.
Depending on the selection, NUNAV considers different characteristics and restrictions in route calculation, for example, for cars, motorhomes, buses, or trucks.

Supported Vehicle Types & Modes in NUNAV Navigation
Avoid Toll Roads
If this option is enabled, NUNAV tries to avoid toll roads as much as possible.
Depending on the region, this may lead to longer travel times or a longer route.
Avoid Highways
With this setting, NUNAV prefers roads outside of highways.
Please note that this can significantly increase both travel time and route length.
Note: Roads that are similar to highways in construction but are not legally highways may still be part of the route depending on signage.
Navigation View
Determine whether the navigation is displayed in a 2D or 3D map view.
This setting only affects the display of the map and not the route calculation.
Zoom During Navigation
Determine how far the map automatically zooms in or out during navigation.
Depending on the setting, you will either see more details in your immediate surroundings or a larger route overview.
Automatic Route Overview
On longer routes, NUNAV automatically briefly shows an overview of the upcoming route.
This gives you a better overview of the further course of the route without interrupting the navigation.
Unit System
Here you determine which unit system should be used.
Depending on the region, kilometers or miles may be displayed.
Display Speed
Displays your current speed during navigation.
The displayed speed is determined based on your device's position data and may slightly differ from your vehicle's speedometer.
Display Speed Limit
Shows the known speed limit for the current road section.
The speed information comes from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or incorrect in some cases. Traffic signs on-site are always authoritative.
Gas Stations
Displays gas stations along your route and shows them during navigation.
Charging Stations
Displays available charging stations along your route and shows them during navigation.
Energy Saving Mode
After a longer standstill, NUNAV automatically reduces the app's energy consumption.
Once the drive is resumed, the app automatically switches back to normal navigation mode.
Note
Some settings only affect the display of additional information. They do not influence the actual route calculation.
