For NUNAV Navigation to reliably provide all functions, the app requires various permissions from your Android device depending on the function.
To open permissions:
Settings → Permissions
After tapping, the app info from Android opens. There you can manage the permissions.
Location
Location is the most important permission for NUNAV Navigation. Only with location enabled can your current position be determined and navigation carried out.
For reliable navigation, we recommend setting location access to Always allow. This way, navigation can continue reliably even with the display off or in the background.
Notifications
With this permission, NUNAV can display important notices and information during navigation.
We recommend allowing notifications so you don't miss any important notices.
Contacts
With this permission, you can directly search for contacts that have a saved address. This eliminates the need to manually enter the destination.
Calendar
This permission allows the use of addresses from your Google Calendar as a navigation destination.
If an appointment contains a location or address, it can be directly adopted for navigation.
Camera
The camera permission is needed if you want to use QR codes or other camera-based functions within NUNAV.
If you do not use these functions, the permission can remain disabled at any time.
Nearby Devices
This permission is used for communication with Bluetooth devices, for example, when outputting audio via hands-free systems or other compatible devices.
What happens if I deny a permission?
You can disable any permission at any time. However, please note that the associated function may then no longer be available or only available to a limited extent.
Examples:
- Without Location, navigation is not possible.
- Without Contacts, contact addresses cannot be searched.
- Without Calendar, appointments will not be suggested as destinations.
- Without Camera, QR codes cannot be scanned.
Note
The available permissions may vary slightly depending on the Android version and device manufacturer.
You can change all permissions at any time in the Android app settings.
