iOS - Appearance & Map Explained

In the Appearance & Map settings, you can determine how NUNAV Navigation is displayed and which information is shown on the map.

Appearance

Light

The app is permanently displayed in light mode, regardless of your iPhone settings.

Dark

The app is permanently displayed in dark mode.

Automatic

NUNAV automatically adopts the appearance of your iPhone and switches between light and dark mode depending on the system settings.

Map Settings

Show Traffic Lights

Displays known traffic lights on the map. This helps you better orient yourself during navigation.

Show Parking Spaces

Displays available parking spaces on the map. This helps you find a parking spot nearby more quickly.

3D Buildings

Buildings are displayed in three dimensions in supported areas. This improves orientation, especially in city centers.

On older devices, disabling 3D buildings can improve rendering performance.

House Numbers

Displays house numbers directly on the map at low zoom levels, making orientation easier.

Clear Map Cache

This function deletes the locally stored map cache.

Upon the next opening or during navigation, NUNAV will download the required map data again. This can be helpful if map displays appear incorrect or outdated.

Does dark mode affect navigation?

No. Dark mode only changes the appearance of the user interface and the map. The navigation itself remains unchanged.

When should I clear the map cache?

Clearing the map cache can be useful if map content is not displayed correctly or if old data is still shown after a map update.
