In the navigation settings, you define how NUNAV Navigation presents your route, which additional information is displayed, and which vehicle type is used for route calculation.
Camera Perspective
You can choose between three different map views:
3D
The map is displayed from an oblique perspective. This view offers the best spatial orientation during navigation.
2D
The map is displayed from above and automatically rotates in the direction of travel.
2D North
The map remains permanently oriented to the north. Only your vehicle position moves on the map.
Route Display
By Speed
If this option is enabled, your route will be colored according to the expected driving speed.
Slower sections appear in warm colors, faster sections in cooler colors. This way, you can see before starting your journey which parts of the route are expected to have slower traffic flow.
Speed Display
Speed Display
Displays your current driving speed during navigation.
Permissible Maximum Speed
Additionally, the permissible maximum speed stored for the current road can be displayed.
The speed limits come from OpenStreetMap and may occasionally be incorrect or outdated. The traffic signs on site are always decisive.
Additional Route Information
Gas Stations
Displays gas stations along your route on the map.
Charging Stations
Displays public charging stations along your route on the map.
This information is for orientation purposes and does not affect route calculation.
Preferred Vehicle Type
The selected vehicle type determines which roads and restrictions are considered during navigation.
The following options are available:
- 🚗 Car
- 🚌 Bus
- 🚲 Bicycle
- 🚛 Truck
- 🚶 Pedestrian
- 🚐 RV
After a change, the setting is automatically applied in the next route calculation.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Does the camera perspective affect navigation?
No. The setting only changes the map display.
Why is the displayed maximum speed sometimes incorrect?
The data comes from OpenStreetMap. Changes to traffic signs are only adopted with an update of the map data. The traffic signs on site are always decisive.
Are gas stations or charging stations automatically planned as waypoints?
No. They are only displayed on the map and can be selected as a destination if needed.
Which vehicle type should I choose?
Always choose the vehicle type you are actually using. Only then can NUNAV consider suitable roads and vehicle-specific restrictions in route calculation.
