In the audio settings, you determine how NUNAV Navigation plays navigation announcements, warnings, and other audio outputs.

General

Sounds

Enables or disables all audio outputs from NUNAV Navigation.

If this option is disabled, there will be no navigation announcements or warnings.

Navigation and Warnings

Navigation Instructions

Enables spoken navigation instructions while driving.

You will receive timely instructions for turns, roundabouts, and other driving maneuvers.

Hazard Warnings

Audibly warns you of known hazards along your route.

These warnings complement the normal navigation announcements and can be activated or deactivated independently.

Additional Audio Settings

Audio as Phone Call

Outputs navigation announcements via the Bluetooth hands-free profile (HFP) – similar to a phone call.

This setting can help with some vehicles if navigation announcements are not played correctly.

Device Speaker

Plays navigation announcements directly through the iPhone's speaker.

This setting can be helpful if no Bluetooth connection is used or if announcements are intentionally output through the iPhone.

Background Audio

Determine how NUNAV behaves when music, podcasts, or audiobooks are played simultaneously.

Always Pause

The playback of other audio sources is completely paused during a navigation announcement and then resumed.

Pause Podcasts and Audiobooks

Podcasts and audiobooks are paused during a navigation announcement. Music, on the other hand, is only lowered in volume.

No Adjustment

NUNAV does not change the playback of other audio sources.

Sound Test

With Sound Test, you can play a test announcement at any time to check if the audio output is working correctly.

This is especially helpful after changes to the audio settings or if there are problems with Bluetooth or CarPlay.

I don't hear any navigation announcements. What can I do?

First, check if the Sounds and Navigation Instructions options are enabled. Then use the Sound Test to check the audio output.

When should I use "Audio as Phone Call"?

Why is my music interrupted?
