How do I change the map style in NUNAV Navigation?

NUNAV Navigation offers you an easy way to customize the map style to your preferences and needs – whether you are in active navigation or not.

Below we explain the steps.

Available Map Styles:

• Night Mode On, Off
  In this mode, you can manually switch between a light and a dark map view.
  
  
• Night Mode Automatic
  This mode automatically adjusts the map style to the ambient brightness. Using your device's brightness sensor, the display switches between a light (day) and a dark (night) map style.

How to change the map style:

During active navigation: Tap on the 3 dots menu to open the quick settings. Tap on Night Mode. Select the desired setting: On, Off, to manually switch between views. or Automatic, to automatically adjust the view based on ambient brightness
Without active navigation: Open the NUNAV app and tap on the gear icon to open the settings menu. Scroll to the Display & Map option. Tap on Night Mode. Select the desired setting: On, Off, to manually switch between views. or Automatic, to automatically adjust the view based on ambient brightness

Note:

We look from space – In the past.

Previously, NUNAV offered a view with satellite images. This option was disabled because the images were often not up-to-date and required a high data volume. By foregoing satellite images, you can now always access an up-to-date map view while conserving your data budget. Less is sometimes more – and saves data volume!

A strong contrast – A brief appearance.

The contrast mode was also once part of the NUNAV map view. This mode offered a significantly higher contrast level but was rarely used and caused increased maintenance effort. To provide you with smooth service and ensure the stability of the app, we decided to remove the contrast mode. Sometimes simplification means improvement!

With these simple settings, you can flexibly adjust your map style – whether you are navigating or not.
