Why can't NUNAV Navigation use ferries?

Do you receive the following error message when you want to navigate from the mainland to an island?

If navigation causes problems when using a ferry or an error message is displayed when trying to calculate a route from the mainland to an island, it is because ferries are currently not integrated into our routing.

This affects all ferries, regardless of their size or the location of the crossing.

We are working on providing this feature in the future so that crossings over rivers or to islands can be navigated without issues.

Until then, navigation for island connections will display an error message and suggest alternative routes for other connections that do not include ferries.
