In the Audio section, you can set how NUNAV Courier communicates with you during navigation. Here, you can adjust voice prompts, alert tones, volume, and audio playback to suit your personal preferences and your vehicle.
Sounds
Turns all acoustic outputs from NUNAV Courier on or off.
Navigation Instructions
Activates voice prompts for turn-by-turn directions, route changes, and other navigation information.
If this option is disabled, navigation is done exclusively via the map display.
Use Stereo Channels
If your vehicle or headphones support stereo audio, navigation prompts can be output differently on the left or right audio channel depending on the turn.
This allows for a more intuitive perception of the driving direction.
Notification Tone Only
Instead of full voice prompts, a short notification tone sounds before a driving maneuver.
This setting is suitable for drivers who prefer to forgo voice prompts and mainly rely on the map view.
Hazards
Activates warnings for known hazard spots along the route.
Depending on the region, the type and extent of warnings may vary.
Traffic Information
Reads available traffic information aloud during active navigation when selected.
Custom Volume
With this feature, NUNAV Courier uses its own volume for voice prompts—independent of your device's general media volume.
You can set the desired volume directly using the slider.
Adjust Speech Synthesis
Opens your smartphone's speech synthesis settings.
There, you can manage the voice used, speech speed, or installed language packs, for example.
Search in Play Store
Opens the Google Play Store to install additional speech synthesis modules or alternative text-to-speech engines.
Pause Other Playback
During a voice prompt, other audio sources—such as music or podcasts—can be automatically paused and then resumed.
Audio as Phone Call
Outputs voice prompts via the Bluetooth hands-free profile (HFP).
This option can be helpful if voice prompts are not correctly played through normal Bluetooth media playback.
Device Speaker as Fallback
If the active Bluetooth connection cannot be used, NUNAV Courier will output voice prompts through the smartphone's speaker instead.
Play Sound Test
Plays a short test tone or test prompt so you can directly check your audio settings.
If you do not hear voice prompts, first check with the Sound Test to see if audio output is generally working. Then, if necessary, you can check the speech synthesis settings or the Bluetooth output.
